Moms on Board Announces New Leadership to Propel Family-Friendly Initiatives in El Paso
El Paso, TX – Moms on Board (MOB), a nonprofit organization committed to making El Paso a more family-friendly place, is excited to announce a dynamic transition in its leadership team. With the appointment of a new Executive Director and key board leadership roles, MOB is set to strengthen its mission of collaborating with local leaders to improve family accommodations and help families thrive in the city.
New Leadership Appointments:
Mayra Garcia Lopez, appointed as Executive Director, brings extensive nonprofit experience in marketing, grant administration, and leadership. Her background and passion for community impact will guide Moms on Board into an exciting new chapter of growth and innovation.
Nora Hernandez, the newly appointed Board President, has been at the forefront of driving community-focused initiatives through her career in research, policy, and grants. Her leadership will play a key role in expanding Moms on Board’s impact across the region.
Bernadette Sanchez, now Vice President of the Board, has been a long-time advocate for Moms on Board’s mission. Her leadership and deep commitment will provide the strategic vision necessary as the organization continues to grow.
Natalie Eckberg, former Board President, will now serve as Treasurer, while Sandi Villanueva transitions into the role of Secretary. Both have been steadfast supporters of MOB and will continue to play critical roles in advancing the organization's growth and success.
Adrianne Moody, Co-Founder of Moms on Board, has been appointed as a Board Member. Her enduring commitment to MOB's mission and visionary leadership will be pivotal in advancing the organization's goals.
In 2024, Moms on Board celebrated a major milestone with the grand opening of the All-Abilities Playground at Ascarate Park, a space designed to bring together children of all abilities. This project exemplifies MOB’s dedication to enhancing family-friendly facilities in El Paso and creating inclusive spaces for all.
This newly appointed leadership team is poised to guide MOB into its next chapter, ensuring the continued success of its mission to improve the quality of life for individuals and families across the community.
